I believe that would be a 28 hour cycle.

This! I just added a DVR recently because I got tired of missing the Fox Soccer Report on Saturday's and Sunday's when the majority of the games are played. And I can record all the live games that are on at strange hours for me.

Gardening Leave? wtf? - my new favorite term.

  • describes the practice whereby an employee who is leaving a job (having resigned or otherwise been terminated) is instructed to stay away from work during their notice period, while still remaining on the payroll. This practice is often used to prevent employees from taking with them up-to-date (and perhaps sensitive) information when they leave their current employer, especially when they are leaving to join a competitor.

Employees continue to receive their normal pay during garden leave and are covered by any contractual duties, such as confidentiality agreements, until their notice period expires.[2]

The term can also be used when an employee is sent home whilst subject to disciplinary proceedings, when they are between projects, or where, as a result of publicity, their presence at work is considered counter- productive.

Not really, a Queen size bed gives me plenty of room, but if you really need extra length you can get a California King

Am I the only one here that actually makes my bed properly by tucking the sheets and blankets under the edge of the mattress at the end of the bed?

Interesting story:

A few years back when my company was replacing their old Cray with a new one, they wanted to donate it to a college to use for educational purposes. The only problem is that no college wanted to take it because apparently the annual operating cost for it was somewhere around 200k. So it was loaded onto a flatbed truck and taken to a scrap yard :( A guy who worked in our data center told me this.

This is really an interesting topic when it is applied to programming classes. In one of my 400 level java classes we had to write a program, our professor said we could talk about functionality and code and design together as classmates, but each was responsible for writing their own code.

During lab time there were a group of 4 -6 people huddled around a computer while one person coded. Apparently when they were done, the person coding sent all them a copy of that code and they all turned in the same code. Well, it was obvious to our professor who had written the code and who just observed (it was a Saturday, he wasn't in the room), but they were all basically guilty.
Our professor tried to get a couple of us who observed them working to basically testify against them at one of the school's 'academic violation board' meetings so they could be put up for expulsion. Our professor was basically on a witch hunt.

But its pretty much retarded to copy code unless you can really change it up (which isn't too hard really), but that professor would actually use those code comparison applications to check for cheating (can't remember name of application)

I know it makes me a bad person, but so much about this photo made me laugh...
