she certainly was acting like it...in the end it was just a matter of time before she moved on to greener pastures, but that was an enjoyable week.

It really is considerate to lay out your expecations clearly and with fair notice. This avoids having to scold her later when she fails to satisfy your dinner needs.

Perhaps, I am not unattractive, but she was still out of my league. I had very little to lose in this situation because I knew I had no other options.

My "good-looks," as it were, were not going to be good enough to land this girl. If I began laying compliments on her I would be absolutely dead in the water. So I dropped the bitch accusation because it was the only option I had left.

Sarah Palin "lies about everything"...we already knew that, but it's nice to see it in print.

I spank my SO regularly...its fun and playful, but its also a subtle reminder who is boss.

true story...first week of college, I saw the hottest girl in my freshmen class was living in the same dorm. We talked at the first dorm social event. Every guy in the class was in awe of this girl. After talking to her for several minutes, in which she was very distracted and somewhat snobby, it was fairly obvious that this girl was accustomed to compliments. So, I said...."you seem kind of like a bitch, am I wrong?" After a gasp, her mission for the next week was to prove to me that she wasn't a bitch, which culiminated with her in my bed.

too many of my conversations turn into a battle to make the other person talk. I am a master of flipping the conversation back on them.

According to Glenn Beck, universities are re-education camps and more dangerous than terrorist groups. Let the "dumbing down" of America begin.

philasurfer -1 points0 points 9 hours ago[-]

I agree, however, everything Beck says is blown incredibly out of proportion. The guy has, perhaps, 1.7 million regular viewers, which represents about 1/2 percent of the population. He got 80K people to attend a rally in D.C., which is an absurdly small group. Lets try to keep his ranting in perspective. The daily show has about the same amount of viewers, 1.6 million. NPR has 20 million people per week listen to its news show.

Owe more on my house than it is worth. Options?

Please don't take this advice without thoroughly researching your options and state law, but you will not get any help unless you stop making your mortgage payment.

You can try to work out a principle reduction or payment reduction with your bank, but they won't pay attention to you unless you stop making payments. As long as you pay your mortgage the bank has no incentive to work with you.

AT&T plans to build a 450ft tower with 24/7 flashing lights overlooking the pristine BWCA wilderness, one of the last few places in the U.S. to escape technology's reach. AT&T arguing that safety is more important than scenery. This debate is taking place at National Parks across the country.

Having just spent a week camping in Acadia, I can say that one of the greatest parts about spending time there was the silence. The quiet is one of the reasons these parks exist. Noise pollution and light pollution are too often overlooked, but seriously deprive people of what I beleive to be a right to sit in silence and see the stars in the sky at night.

Fascinating account by the former NJ Commissioner of Education detailing how the Governor of New Jersey, Chris Chistie, scapegoated him, lied, and blamed Obama's bureaucracy for the whole thing. An inside look at hardball, deceptive, and Rovian Republican politics.

Most interesting line FTA:

He said he was about to do a press conference about the matter, and that he believed it is always better to be on offense than defense, so he would accept responsibility for the error, and then go on offense against the Obama Administration. He was going to try to make the story about their picayune rules. He was going to say that I gave the reviewers the missing information, but the Obama Administration refused to give us the points we deserved, and that this showed they put bureaucratic rules above meaningful education reform.

Do libertarians honestly believe that the world would be better off if the Department of Environmental Protection were never created?

Why was there so much more pollution pre-1970, before the EPA was created? Why didn't the courts hold polluters accountable?

Your theory is just plain wrong. Before the EPA, there was an enormous amount of pollution for which no one was accountable. Factories lined every river in the country and used them as dumping grounds for chemicals. The courts did not intervene to prevent that, the EPA did. Since the EPA's creation pollution has been reduced dramatically and rivers, lakes and the ocean are much better than they were.

A world where the EPA is necessary to correct externalities is not consistent with a world where everything is owned.

Who owns the air we breathe? The ocean?

We (us libertarians) would rather focus on fixing those problems rather than having a bureaucratic nightmare.

Im not sure I understand your point. How do intend to "fix" these problems without the EPA?

Im not sure whether it even has to be a "formal" job for sexual harassment laws to apply. Consult a lawyer because you may make far more from a lawsuit than this job is even worth. What he is doing is clearly sexual harassment and should not stand unchallenged.

If you make it clear that you are strictly there in a professional capacity and he continues to come onto you, I would document the events. Write down what he says and does word for word. (perhaps record them, although I don't know the legalities of that) Then sue him for sexual harassment.
