Health Care Bill To Fund 12,000 New IRS Employees For Enforcement Of New Taxes And The Individual Mandate.

I am confused. Do you really believe that the Canadian or the British healthcare system is used to control the populace?

That is such an odd conclusion you draw.

Matthews To Health Care Reform Opponent: What You're Talking About Doesn't Exist

You have to wait till the end because it really builds, but that was amazing.

What is the tea partiers plan for healthcare? What during George Bush's eight years did he do regarding healthcare except a huge prescription drug entitlement that if Democrats had introduced Republicans would have called socialist?

Administration submitted 6-years of costs and 10-years of tax/revenue to pay for it.

What are you talking about? Where are you getting this information?

It is a pretty simple concept. Brownback is highly partisan and a non-expert. The CBO is non-partisan and expert. This is why people generally look to the CBO for cost estimates.

It doesnt mean they will be correct it just means they made a good faith effort, with far more resources and skill than Senator Brownback, to make an estimate.

Perhaps the CBO has over-estimated in the past, so what? Do you have a better current estimate?

What was the point you presented? A partisan report from Senator Brownback about the reliability of the CBO. I can refute that by saying the CBO is the best estimate we have. If you want to produce a more thorough, non-partisan analysis please do!

It is not budget neutral, it actually reduces the deficit by 130 Billion the first ten years and 1.2 trillion the next ten year.

What does it say though that, in order to run for President he couldn't be a Republican?

I suspect the health insurance industry would prefer the status quo in which they can take in premiums, deny coverage and drop sick people.

This bill prevents all of that.

Listen, surfnsound, people keep repeating the same confusion over the taxes under the plan. I just felt it needed clarification. If you don't like it there is a little arrow to the left of my posts through which you can express your opinion of the usefullness of my posts. Otherwise, don't worry about how I make my argument.

The bill raises revenue in the following ways:

•A tax increase on the richest 2.6%

•A tax on expensive health care plans (kicks in 2018)

•A fine on individuals who can buy insurance for less than 8% of their income but choose not to. (kicks in 2016)

•A fine on employers that do not offer insurance and that have employees who benefit from government health care plans.

None of which really bother me.

It doesn't "save" money. It reduces the deficit. Two different things.

You can't cover 30 million uninsured and "save" money. It raises more money than it pays out by:

•A tax increase on the richest 2.6%

•A tax on expensive health care plans (kicks in 2018)

•A fine on individuals who can buy insurance for less than 8% of their income but choose not to. (kicks in 2016)

The fact is that the healthcare bill would raise insurance premiums for some, lower others and leave some essentially untouched.

Under the status quo all plans are increasing dramatically and 45 million don't have any healthcare whatsoever.

Now the link you edited into your post, why does that only have Senator Browback's (R) name on it?

Is that a product of the committee or Senator Brownbacks?

So your response is to generate rumors and innuendo. The CBO estimate is the best fact-based analysis we are going to get. Deal with it.

EDIT: I would like to say for the record that you edited that entire post after I commented. It is a blatant violation of redditiquette.
